Redcurrant Jam Recipe for Five Minutes

Prepare the ingredients for the jam:

  • red currant - 1 kg;
  • sugar -1.5 kg;
  • water - 1 cup.

Start by preparing the harvested currants. It must be cleaned of leaves and other debris, remove twigs and rinse thoroughly with cool water. After that, put the berries in a colander so that the glass is excess moisture. At this time, prepare sugar syrup. In a saucepan or in any other deep, deep enameled bowl, mix water and sugar and bring the mixture to a boil. Make sure that all granules of granulated sugar dissolve. Dip the berries in boiling syrup and boil them from the moment of boiling for 5 minutes.

For this method, prepared and washed berries are covered with sugar (the proportions can be taken as in the previous recipe) and left for 6-7 hours or overnight. During this time, red currants will secrete juice, so you no longer need to add water. After insisting, the container with berries is put on fire and boiled 1 time for 5 minutes. Hot jam is bottled in jars and corked with metal or nylon caps.

“Five minutes” of red currant with vanilla

This unusual treat will be a wonderful treat for guests or just make your daily tea party much tastier. To make such a jam you will need:

  • 2 kg of berries;
  • 1 kg of gelling sugar. This is a special type of sugar that is used in the manufacture of jelly, jams, marmalade. It includes pectin and citric acid;
  • 2 vanilla sticks.

Cooking method:

  1. Prepare the fruits of red currant, peel them from leaves and stalks and rinse.
  2. Add a little water to the berries, boil.
  3. Fold the currants onto a sieve and wipe until gruel.
  4. Fold the resulting mass back into a bowl of water, add the vanilla sticks divided into several parts and add sugar.
  5. Boil for 5 minutes, remove from heat and remove the vanilla pods.
  6. Put the jam in pre-sterilized jars and roll it up.

  • artificial honey - 800 g;
  • water - 2 glasses.
